英语是一门语言，也是我们开眼看世界的一扇窗。英语学习如果仅仅是背会单词，刷题挣分那将是多么的无趣。这里我将为学英语的孩子们开阔眼界，了解英语的世界，了解一个多彩的世界。

This unit is about food. It may be very delicious!

People in different places have differents recipes. They may eat the usual food-meat, vegetables, fruit and groceries.But sometimes the usual food for us is really some unusual food for people from other countries.If you don't believe that,let's take a look.

This is called 'chicken's feet'. They are parts of the chicken. Our Chinese, especially people in Sichuan, eat the dish very often. We cook them in different ways.

This is the rabbit heads. People not in Sichuan cannot imagine(想象) how delicious they are. Maybe they feel a little scared seeing piles of rabbit heads there at the table.

What is this? It's a kind of egg. It has got a special name-centuary egg, or one hundren year old egg or one thousand year old egg. I think it's difficult for foreign people to try the egg that is 1000 years old.

Next let's have a look at the food in other countries. We wouldn't like to try the things that they eat.

She is eating scorpions(蝎子)

He is eating stink bugs. Can you imagine(想象) they taste a little apple.

 Japanese people like raw food. They uaually eat raw fish and the eyeballs of tuna(金枪鱼)

If we go out to eat in the restaurants, we need to order the food from the menu. What is a menu usually like?

Here are our Chinese menus:

There are uaually these parts : cold dishes, hot dishes, specials, soups and drinks.

Here are the menus of the western food restaurants:

There are usually four parts on the menu: starters, main courses, desserts and drinks.

If you have a chance to stay with an English family , you can know somthing about the daily(日常的) food. Here is an E-mail from an English family, they are waiting for their exchange(交换) guests.
