Liverpool is a city in the northwest of England.

It is the home of The Beatles, a world famous rock band. The Beatles are a band of four men. They are John Lennon,Paul McCartney,George Harrison and Ringo Starr.

They became the most influencial (最具影响力的）music band around Britain then the USA and then the world. People in Liverpool love them so much , they named their airport of the city after the main singer, John Lennon. It's called Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

People in Liverpool built their statues(雕像) in the city.

The Beatles are the best-selling(最畅销的） band in history with the sales (销量）of over 800 million albums(专辑）in the world.

They played in the clubs in Liverpool first. More and more people knew them and loved them later.'Beatlemania' (披头士狂热）appeared(出现） in 1963.

The Beatles have got a lot of famous songs, like Hey Jude, Let it be,Yesterday and so on.These songs are still popular now.
