Let's begin with a map of London

There are a lot of famous places to see in London, like the Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, British Museum, Hyde Park and Madame Tussauds.

Visitors can choose the Big Bus tour to travel around London.

People can see 

the Tower of London

Trafalgar Square

Buckingham Palace

is one of the British Queen's homes.

The State Rooms of the Palace are open to visitors. The ‘Annual（年度的）Summer Opening’ is in August and September. The rooms are furnished （被装修布置）with some of the greatest treasures（珍宝）from the Royal（皇家的）Collection.

Tourists come to Buckingham to watch the changing guarding ceremony(换岗仪式).

Actually, changing the guard ceremony is called Guard Mounting. A new guard exchanges(互换) duty with the old guard. Both the two guards are from the Foot Guard(警卫兵).

When the Big Bus does tours of the city, people can go to visit the Tate Modern.

The Tate Modern is very big. It has a total floor area of 34,000 square metres and is on the south side of the River Thames.

There is a fantastic collection of modern art by famous artists like Picasso and Dali.

Meet famous sports people, pop stars, actors and politicians from different countries at Madame Tussauds.

There are almost 400 wax models to see here.

It takes about four months to make a model and each one costs a lot, about 150,000 pounds.

Next , let's go to the Hard Rock Cafe.

People can eat their HIckory Bar-B-Que Ribs:

There is a great collection of 70,000 things from the rock music world, like old guitars and drums and records（唱片）from famous bands.

Then let's leave London for another old city -Cambridge.

Cambridge ,on the River Cam,is a university city. It's in the north of London,about 50 miles(80km) from London. 

The city is famous for Cambridge University.The university has King's College Chapel（国王学院礼拜堂）, Cavendish Laboratory（卡文迪什实验室）,and the Cambridge University Library.

Cambridge University is very beautiful. Because it's near the river, there are a lot of bridges. Let's have a look:

Mathematical Bridge(数学桥）

It is said the bridge was designed（被设计） by the great mathematician（数学家）,Newton. So it's also called the Newton Bridge.

Bridge of Sighs(叹息桥）

I think the students cry and sigh here on the bridge when they feel sad.

Some famous Chinese people also studied in this University. 

Read the poem(诗) , I think you know who he is.

轻轻的我走了，正如我轻轻的来；  

Very quietly I take my leave  As quietly as I came here;  

我轻轻的招手，作别西天的云彩。  

Quietly I wave goodbye  To the rosy clouds in the western sky.

In the gentle waves of Cambridge    I would be a water plant!

是天上虹揉碎在浮藻间，沉淀着彩虹似的梦。

Shattered to pieces among the duckweeds    Is the sediment of a      rainbow-like dream? 

寻梦？撑一支长篙，向青草更青处漫溯，  

To seek a dream?  Just to pole a boat upstream  To where the green    grass is more verdant; 

满载一船星辉，在星辉斑斓里放歌。

Or to have the boat fully loaded with starlight    And sing aloud in the splendour of starlight. 

但我不能放歌，悄悄是别离的笙箫；  

But I cannot sing aloud    Quietness is my farewell music;  

夏虫也为我沉默，沉默是今晚的康桥

Even summer insects heep silence for me    Silent is Cambridge tonight! 悄悄的我走了，  正如我悄悄的来；

Very quietly I take my leave    As quietly as I came here;        

我挥一挥衣袖，不带走一片云彩。

Gently I flick my sleeves    Not even a wisp of cloud will I bring away

Yes, that is him-Tsemou Hsu(徐志摩)，this poem is Saying Good-bye to Cambridge Again(再别康桥）. People in Cambridge know it in English, I think our Chinese people know it in Chinese.

诗中提到的康桥不是某一座桥，而是我们说的Cambridge，现在称为“剑桥”的这个地方。

Writing in mind
