备考剑桥英语MSE时，我们听到的最多的3类教材就是Reading Explorer（RE）、English in Mind、UNLOCK。

其中English in Mind、UNLOCK都是剑桥出版社发行的教材。

English in Mind、UNLOCK依赖于培训，基本没有自鸡案例。Reading Explorer听说有开课的，也有自鸡的。具体3家的对应情况见下文。

Reading Explorer 是由美国国家地理和CENGAGE Learning出版社联手出品的阅写教材，它包含六个不同的等级，孩子们可以按需选择。最新版本为2015年出版。

English in Mind，共6册，分6个级别，覆盖了欧洲现代语言教学大纲中从A1到C1的语言能力要求，共计6册，入门级starter, level1~level5。

与前二者不同，UNLOCK的培养方向为“解锁”学术英语能力（English in academic context）和批判性思维能力（critical thinking），目的是为今后的学业发展做好充份准备（unlock academic potential）。
