Currencies of the world

 

In the UK the currency [货币] is pounds [英镑]; in America it is the dollar [美元]; in

much of Europe it’s the euro [欧元]; in China it is the Yuan [人民币].

Note and Coins

 

货币通常有Note [纸币]和Coin [硬币]两种形式。

 

在英国货币使用中：

1 pound [英镑]= 100 pence [便士，单数形式为：penny]

 

在美国货币使用中：

1 dollar [美元]=100 cents [美分，单数形式为：cent]

除货币之外，Money还可以以check/cheque、card、phone的形式进行支付。

 

注意：Cheque and check appear in British English, and check appears in American English.

When I went to university, I had to get a student loan（贷款） to pay my fees. That meant I had to be careful and make sure I didn't waste money（浪费钱）, but by the time I finished my degree I owed（欠钱） a lot. At the moment I'm saving（存钱） up for a new laptop; the one I have is very slow and keeps going wrong. I'd love to have a car as well, but I can't afford（付钱） it.
