这道题是这样的：

让我们就来彻底解决这个问题吧。

Let's solve the matter once and for all.

once and for all表示一劳永逸地，彻底地， 一次了结地，最后一次（坚决的意思）

This phrase, literally meaning “this one final time which will serve forever.”

Permanently，completely， finally and decisively.

汤姆回去想彻底解决他的恩怨。

Tom went back to settle his feud once and for all.

总统希望通过这项最新法律彻底让批评者闭嘴。

The president is hoping to silence critics once and for all with this latest law.

as...as似乎谁都懂，但变化也不少。

虽然有两个as,其实第一个 as 为副词，第二个 as为连词（后面就是比较状语从句）

我们很熟悉的as...as，中间是一个形容词或者副词：

这个故事和那个一样滑稽可笑。

This story is as funny as that one.

他的自行车和她的一样好骑。

His bike rides as well as hers.

有倍数的情况下:如twice，three times，half，a quaer 等，放于第一个 as 之前。

她永远不会和一个比她大一倍的人出去。

She will never go out with a man who is twice as old as she．

你可不像自己想象的那么智慧。

You are not half as wise as you think．

另一种变化是

as much／many＋名词＋as＋从句

马丁已经画了和他爸爸一样多的画。

Martin has painted as many pictures as his hather．

这既是你的过错，也是他的过错。

It is as much your fault as your his．

亨利跟约翰一样是个英雄。

Henry is as much a hero as John．

观察以下的句子：

我不要这么贵的车。

I don't want as expensive a car as this.

＝I don't want a car as expensive as this．

托尼是一个和他弟一样聪明的男孩。

Tony is as clever a boy as his brother．

It is better to do something late than not do it at all.
