Math Kangaroo袋鼠数学竞赛由澳大利亚著名数学家Peter O’Halloran于1980年发起。1991年，由法国两位著名数学教育家成立正式竞赛组委会并在欧洲推广，为了向Peter O’Halloran致敬，将该竞赛正式命名为“袋鼠数学竞赛”。

Math Kangaroo is proposed by Peter O’Halloran, an Australian mathematician and teacher, in the 1980's. In 1991, this idea was taken up in Paris, France. Very quickly, it spread throughout Europe. The competition began to be called “Kangaroo” because of its Australian origin.

自此风靡世界，逐步成为全球第一大规模的青少年国际数学竞赛， 在87个国家和地区举办，每年有超过 600 万学生参加。2019年的全球参赛人数更是达到了634万。袋鼠数学竞赛在美国也有超过20年的举办历史，每年参赛人数快速递增，尤其在亚裔人口较多的加州，考位可以说是一位难求。

The main purpose of Math Kangaroo is to promote mathematical thinking and stimulate an interest in math, by providing students with an opportunity to compare their abilities against the abilities of other students, from different countries around the world. Math Kangaroo is now the largest competition for school students in the world, with over 6.3 million participants from 87 countries in 2019.

2019 年， ASDAN 中国（阿思丹学院）正式与袋鼠数学国际委员会达成独家战略合作，成为袋鼠数学竞赛中国赛区组委会，致力于把这项国际著名的数学兴趣活动推荐给中国青少年数学爱好者。

ASDAN China (ASDAN Academy) and Math Kangaroo have formed a partnership to bring the Math Kangaroo Competition to China from 2019.

该赛事从小学至高中分为 6 个难度等级/6 different levels, suitable for primary school to high school students

• 等级 1：小学 1 至 2 年级/Level 1：Year 1 to 2

• 等级 2：小学 3 至 4 年级/Level 2：Year 3 to 4

• 等级 3：小学 5 至 6 年级/Level 3：Year 5 to 6

• 等级 4：中学 7 至 8 年级/Level 4：Year 7 to 8

• 等级 5：中学 9 至 10 年级/Level 5：Year 9 to 10

• 等级 6：中学 11 至 12 年级/Level 6：Year 11 to 12

* 学生可以选择挑战高于所在年级的级别考试，不允许学生选择低于所在年级的级别/Students can choose to challenge the level test higher than their grade. Students are not allowed to choose the level lower than their grade

六大举措确保在线考试的公正性

严格的考试系统，第三方视角拍摄，远程视频监考

基于当前的特殊时期，考试组委会考虑到同学们线下参加比赛的困难，参赛选手可以选择在线考试模式。

为保证在线考试的公正性，要求考生必须使用带摄像头的电脑进行考试，同时需要准备一台带摄像头的手机或PAD本用于第三方视角拍摄。我们的在线考试平台采用多种技术可以实现多重防舞弊功能，确保考试的公正性：

1、人脸与身份证件、准考证对应验证识别，防止替考；

2、考试期间电脑屏幕监控和防切换技术，防止考生使用考试软件之外的查询或通讯软件；

3、考生答题过程全程正面拍摄监控，旁边不能有任何人协助；

4、手机通过专门软件全程拍摄考生考试过程，周围不能出现与考试无关的资料和电子设备；

5、签署家长监考监督协议书，强化家长监考责任；

6、专人远程视频监考。

特别说明：上述创新在线考试模式均与考试组委会沟通确认。基于中国当前特殊情况，考试组委会同意按照此在线模式进行考试。

等级 1-2：共 24 道选择题，总分 96 分。1-8 题每题 3 分，9-16 题每题 4 分，17-24 题每题 5 分。答错扣 1 分，不答不扣分

Level 1-2：24 multiple-choice questions with a total score of 96. Questions 1-8 are worth 3 points. Questions 9-16 are worth 4 points. Questions 17-24 are worth 5 points. ( 1 point will be deducted for wrong answers, and no point will be deducted for blank answers. )

等级 3-6：共 30 道选择题，总分 120 分。1-10 题每题 3 分，11-20 题每题 4 分，21-30 题每题 5 分。答错扣 1 分，不答不扣分

Level 3-6：30 multiple-choice questions with a total score of 120. Questions 1-10 are worth 3 points. Questions 11-20 are worth 4 points. Questions 21-30 are worth 5 points. ( 1 point will be deducted for wrong answers, and no point will be deducted for blank answers. )
